Hungo PaviThe Friends of Chaco is a New Mexico nonprofit 501(c)(3) corporation to assist and support Chaco Culture National Historical Park. The park is located 150 miles northwest of Albuquerque, New Mexico in the high desert at an elevation of 6200 feet. Considered on the most important pre-Columbian cultural and historical areas in the United States, Chaco Canyon was a major cultural center for the Ancestral Pueblo people.  You can learn more about Chaco Culture National Historical Park on the National Park Service website.
